Furuno DFF1 Digital Black Box Echosounder Module for NavNet (without Transducer) Overview
The Furuno DFF1 adds sonar cababilities to your existing Furuno Navnet version 1 or Navnet vx2. The DFF1 offers 50khz and/or 200khz frequency ranges to give the user highly detailed readings of the bottom, structure, bait or fish. The DFF1 is a 600w sonar unless it is connected to a 1000w transducer and then it will operate in 1000w mode to provide depth readings of up to 2500 feet. The DFF1 with FDF (Furuno Digital Filtering) technology adapts to fishing environments by adjusting gain, output power and other filters, the advantage of FDF is a clearer picture of targets and bottom. The new Furuno DFF1 is also much better at shallow water detection by supressing the surface clutter and increasing the transmission rate. The result is better identification of bait pods and fish targets. Additional features include Audible/Visual alarms for bottom, fish or water temp changes.
